Dr Gerard Balague graduated as a dentist from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain) in 2005 after which Gerard worked in an NHS and private practice in Wales. In 2007 Gerard concentrated on obtaining a post-graduate certificate in Implantology from Warwick University. After obtaining his certificate Gerard worked in London for 2 1/2 years in a general dental practice, concentrating on Periodontics and implantology. Gerard moved back to Spain to start a full time 3 year Masters in

Implantology: Oral Surgery, Prosthetics and Periodontics. During this time Gerard also completed a post-graduate certificate in forensic dentistry and a Master’s degree of basic research in Dentistry and Biomedicine. Gerard is currently working as a clinical teacher at King’s College Hospital where he finalised a Master of Arts in Clinical Education in 2017 at the same institution. Since then, Gerard has becomes so passionate about teaching that has started a PHD in Spain in 2019. Gerard´s main current interests in dentistry are the treatment of gum disease as well as placing dental implants where missing teeth are to restore the dentition.
